How to setup your M365 .A account

FIDO2 Security Key Setup

1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser and click on the ... in upper right side by your profile.
2. Select new inprivate window and continue on with the rest of the steps.
3. Navigate and Sign in to Security Info: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
   1. Sign in using the account you are setting up (example: YourStarID.a@minnstate.edu).
   2. Enter the Temporary Access Pass provided in your email.
   3. Select Sign In.
   4. When prompted to stay signed in, select No.
4. Add a Security Key
   1. Select Add sign-in method.
   2. Choose Security key. (USB Device)
   3. Insert your FIDO2 security key when prompted.
5. Configure the Security Key
   1. Create and confirm a PIN for the security key. (4 Digits)
   2. Touch the security key sensor to complete registration.
6. Name the Security Key
   1. When prompted, name the security key using the following format: .A Token Admin Account
7. Remove Temporary Access Pass
   1. After confirming the security key appears in Sign-in methods, delete the Temporary Access Pass.

Completion

The FIDO2 security key is now registered and ready for use.
