Kaltura offers a free machine-based captioning tool to add captioning to your media.
To access, log in to your media space account at https://mediaspace.minnesota.edu.
1. Go to the video you want captioned.
2. Click on Actions.
3. Click Order Captions.
Depending on the length of the video, captions can be available in minutes. You can check the status of your request by going back to the video and, under Actions, click Caption Requests. Once the status is complete, you may edit your captioning.

NOTE: Unedited machine-based captions will not be compliant for viewers protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act. To be compliant, the videos must be edited and 95 percent accurate.
