Zoom is the official web conferencing tool for Minnesota State. Here is the link to the website: https://minnstate.zoom.us/.
You can download Zoom by clicking here or by installing through Software Center.
Signing in to Zoom: Please note, if you are signing in through a web browser, use your Star ID and password.
When using the desktop version:
- When asked to sign in with email and password, instead select the Sign in with SSO option.
- Under Sign in with SSO, type in "minnstate" so the full link reads minnstate.zoom.us and hit continue.
- A web browser will open to the sign-on.minnstate.edu site asking for your Star ID and password. (If you do not see that page, try closing your web browser first then retrying.). Type in that information and press sign on.
- Your browser should then ask if you want to open the Zoom app, Select Open or Open Zoom Meetings to complete initial sign in
For staff and faculty: Zoom also has an outlook plugin app that lets you quickly start a meeting from within Outlook. It is available in the Software Center. Sign-in instructions are the same as above.
