There are times when users may want to manually access and install the Microsoft Window updates before the Patch Management Process runs or when they have been off campus for a long period of time.
1. If you are on campus and want to manually access the Microsoft Windows updates through Software Center:
- Click on the Windows button (lower left corner) and type Software Center
- Open (double click) Software Center
- Select Updates
- All the available updates will be listed
- Select an update to install or all updates to install
2. If you are off campus and want to manually access the Microsoft Windows updates through the Windows Update and Security Settings in Windows 10:
- Click on the Windows button (lower left corner)
- Click on the Settings icon
- Click on Update and Security
- Click Check for Updates
