This is a set of instructions for adding the Konica and HP copiers to your Mac computer. Once you have completed the below instructions, go to any Konica or HP Copier available in student areas on campus and swipe your student ID or enter your starid and password to finish printing.
Open System Preferences.
Go to Printers & Scanners.
Click the "+" to add a printer.
Control click the toolbar (right click if you have a mouse) and select "Customize Toolbar."
Click and drag the Advanced Button to the toolbar, then select Done.
Go into the Advanced Options icon you just dragged over and click on it.
Select a type of "Windows Printer via Spoolss."
In URL, type smb://vff-print.ad.minnesota.edu/Spartan-Printing
Change the name to Spartan-Printing (Device and Location don't need to be modified)
Under Choose a driver, select the "Generic Postscript Printer" and select Add **If this is missing please see Step A below.**
When you print for the first time, you will be asked for a username and password. This is your StarID and password. Remember to check the box to save that information.

In the Print and Scan menu, hold down the control key and click in the printer list.
*Note* Step 3 will erase all current printers.
Select "Reset Printing System."
Try to add the printer again.
