Internet Guardian is a system-wide security service implemented for all Minnesota State institutions that protects users from being infected by malware on suspicious websites. Internet Guardian is enabled at the system level.
When your device is connected to the M State network, you will be protected. If you visit a website known to have malicious content, Internet Guardian will not allow your device to access the website. You will be alerted by a browser screen that informs you why your access was blocked. If you feel the site was blocked in error, you are given a link to report your issue to the Minnesota State IT Service Desk.
